North Metropolitan TAFE campuses at Clarkson and Joondalup will receive $3.7 million in capital works to improve training facilities in the areas of health and social assistance, automation, cyber security and building and construction.
Health and wellness training at the Joondalup (McLarty Avenue) campus has already undergone a major refurbishment with $950,000 allocated to enhance beauty therapy facilities. Works are complete and will be available for student use in Semester 1, 2019.
Minister Sue Ellery, Minister for Education and Training stated "Western Australia needs access to a strong supply of highly skilled workers to support growth areas" and this is a critical part of the State Government's work to boost jobs and opportunities in the State.
